U of I has created a database listing Illinois newspapers and libraries who have those papers on microfilm. The Illinois Newspaper Project (INP) is an initiative of the History, Philosophy, and Newspaper Library (HPNL) and the Preservation Services Unit at the University of Illinois Library. The INP seeks to identify Illinois newspapers, preserve Illinois newspapers, digitize Illinois newspapers, and provide reference services to users of Illinois newspapers.
