Read by Design

Summer Reading 2017 will be a celebration of design, building, and architecture with the theme: Read by design.

Registration lasts from June 1st-12th.  Children ages 3-12 are welcome to sign up. Complete the program for your chance to win some amazing prizes, including an 2-in-1 tablet.  All programs will be at 11 AM and 2 PM.

SUMMER KICK-OFF

We’re starting Summer Reading with a bang! On June 4 from 2-4 PM, we will have a Summer Kick-Off to celebrate the beginning of Summer and the start of our annual Summer Reading. There will be face painting, balloon animals, live music, games, crafts, & a Touch-A-Truck with a firetruck, ambulance, tow truck, police vehicle, and more!

Animal Tales: Animal Architects.  Will feature a variety of exotic animals from across the globe that utilize very unique abilities to build and construct as part of survival in the wild.

Bookcraft. A Minecraft themed magic show

Greg Hollmann presents “The Solar Eclipse.”  Local science/astronomy professor discusses the design of our solar system, how it works, and how a total solar eclipse is possible.  He will also share some advice about how to safely watch the upcoming eclipse.
